Great news! Mark Thursday, Oct 7th, 2010 on your calendars as the date saved to attend the Ward 3 Aldermanic Civic Camp forum at Harvest Hills Alliance Church.
The Northern Hills Community Association (NHCA) is teaming up with Civic Camp and the Harvest Hills Alliance Church to bring you a Ward 3 aldermanic candidate forum prior to the upcoming municipal election. NHCA First Fundraising Event: October, 30th, 2010
Building a Stronger Community for NHCA Residents
Yes, you got it! NHCA will hold the first fundraising event on October 30th, 2010. The goal of this fundraising event is to raise money for providing much needed programs and activities for community residents with different needs. Currently, for example, if senior residents would like to attend some recreational activities, they have to look for the activities outside of Northern Hills communities. As well, people do not have a lot of options to participate the community events and social support within our own communities. Furthermore, we also want to strengthen our existing community activities, like garage sale, community garden and soccer programs. The activities are creating greater sense of community spirit for residents. Therefore, we would like to see the activities to continue and grow stronger. In order to accomplish all the objectives, the idea of holding the NHCA fundraising event emerged, and we need your help!
The fundraising event will be a fun party for everyone in Harvest Moon Ball style. Not only you will have chances to bid on some fabulous items in our live and silence auctions, you also will have chances to interact with the entertainers, let loose with fun ballroom dance groups in 50’s and 60’s music, and enjoy great Harvest Moon view in Country Hill Golf Club. The Club has generously donated their venue for our Fundraising event to show strong support for Northern Hills community. But, we are calling YOUR support too. If you want to show your support by donating auction items or sponsor us in any way you can; we will promote your company throughout our event promotional materials, as our way to say “thank-you.” Please contact the events coordinator at events@northernhills.ab.ca if you want to donate or sponsor the event, or you can drop off your donation in the NHCA office.
