Plans for our outdoor recreational rinks are ongoing.
Coventry Outdoor Ice Rink – Covepark Square NE and Coventry Hills Way NE. This non boarded rink will be located on the existing basketball court area. If you are interested in helping to flood and clear the ice this winter please contact community@northernhills.ab.ca
Harvest Hills Outdoor Ice Rink – South end of Harvest Hills Lake, west end of Harvest Lake Drive. The earth berm has been built! The location is adjacent to the existing Community Garden. This will be a non-boarded pleasure rink. If you would like to volunteer to help flood and clear the ice this winter, please contact community@northernhills.ab.ca
The location is adjacent to the existing Community Garden. This is intended for a second non boarded pleasure rink in our communities. The earth berm is scheduled to be constructed in the fall and we are looking for a volunteer with a bobcat as well as volunteers to help flood and clear the ice this winter.
Long term plans include a third similar pleasure rink in Country Hills and possibly a boarded rink wth lights in Panorama Hills.
If you are interested in helping build and/or maintain any of the rinks at these locations, please contact community@northernhills.ab.ca

I was just wondering if the Harvest Hills Outdoor Ice Rink is ready.
Thanks
The outdoor rinks infrastructure is ready for flooding for both Coventry and Harvest Hills. However, with the outdoor temperatures we have had in the last couple of weeks, we have not been flooding. Hopefully, as soon as the temperatures dip below
-O’C, the city will be scheduling for flooding at Harvest. As for Coventry, we have a new lead and helpers to coordinate with Adopt-A-Rink to get their ice going.
The community needs volunteers for both Harvest Hills and Coventry Hills. Please send an e-mail to NHCA, concerning outdoor rinks and which area you are interested in helping out with.
